Bahai´s situation in Iran

Bahai community, Iran´s largest non-muslim minority with 300.000 members have been the constant target of state-sanctioned discrimination and violence for more than 100 years. The Iranian government says that Bahai faith is a wayward sect or cult whose members have deviated from Islam and are therefore apostates. Unlike the other minoritys as Jewish, Christian, and Zoroastrian populations who are recognisd under Article 13 of Iranian constitution, Bahais have no representation in Iran´s Parliment (Majlis). It made it easier for government to attack Bahais and their social and cultural institutions with impunity, and to deny them the right to practise their faith openly. Bahais have enormous problem to participate in higher education. Right now there are seven Bahai leaders in iranian prisons accused of espionage !!! Nobody nows why, how and for whom?
